So, I didn’t get to leave as planned yesterday… Many flights were cancelled because of poor visibility due to the snow, mine included.
Damn snow! They offered me a later flight, but I still would have been stuck in Atlanta at my expense to wait and catch my connection the next day. Not willing to pay a hotel for a night just to make sure I get out of the DC snow, I ended up opting to go back home and catching the same flight at the same the next day instead.
Nice thing is that when they gave me the updated boarding pass yesterday for today, I noticed that they put me in business class seating for my connecting flight to Chilé. I don’t know if it was a mistake or not… If it wasn’t an error, then I am thinking that maybe the airline agent wanted me to have something pleasant during the longer leg of my trip for my trouble and wait. Either way, I am very appreciative!
I’ve never flown business class, and I am looking forward to it for a change. Maybe the saying that good things come to those who wait is true…
