What I saw at the dog park 07-01-05…

You can’t see it too well because it was hot and humid and the sun was bright so the photo looks a little too Purple. But if you look closely at the statue’s left hand, you will see…

Ghost in the Shell

Ghost in the Shell (1996) (Japanese title: Kôkaku kidôtai), based on Masamune Shirow’s manga, was beautifully executed and I watched it again this week in anticipation of watching Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (2004) (Japanese title: Inosensu: Kôkaku kidôtai). Also something amusing that I found by accident in the middle of my noctunal search for new music.

Promising gifts to siblings can be hazardous to your health…

My brother is a funny little lad… and playing with a new Web cam at that. For the 2002–2003 Holiday season, he wanted one of those Micro Racers—supposedly the smallest radio controlled cars in the world… but I never got around to getting it because all those sites looked like dodgy spam warehouses…

Hoover what?

[google:Hooverphonic]. Interesting name for a musical group from Belgium. Even though I had seen the name floating around on the net for a while, I had actually first heard them in Chilé through a fellow Belgian, and my first impression was that I wasn’t impressed. Then I thought no more of it…

The Wrong Boy

Well, Monday it is again, and I got a book (UK import) from Amazon Canada over the weekend by Willy Russell (renowned English dramatist of Educating Rita and Shirley Valentine).
