I saw an interesting post by a DC Blogger. The post rang like an eerily familiar bell, as I am a big introvert myself.

One thing I have noticed for the last three summers is the widespread epidemic of flip flops for fashion in the U.S. I have an absolutely intense dislike of flip flops as everyday wear on the street and find nothing nice about them, considering they seem to carry very minimal hygiene for footwear in such a dirty city (well… people here tend to be dirty too, but that’s up for a completely separate discussion).
I am finally going back to Belgium for a little bit. Yaaaayyyyy!!!
I leave in March and will spend about 15 days there. I haven’t seen my old cronies since the holiday season of 1999-2000. I went to art school with most of them when I lived there. Now it will be interesting to see where they all are in their lives. Also, I will get to use my Belgian passport for the first time in Belgium. ![]()

Today is also the anniversary of my former colleague’s death. Cheers to him.
I am contemplating having the special number b-day party next month. I figured that I do have a good reason to have a party, since it will be the first time my brother will be round for my b-day. Secondly, he will only be here a few short weeks before he pushes off for Spain, so may as well make the time precious and bloody fun.
My brother is a funny little lad… and playing with a new Web cam at that. For the 2002–2003 Holiday season, he wanted one of those Micro Racers—supposedly the smallest radio controlled cars in the world… but I never got around to getting it because all those sites looked like dodgy spam warehouses…
Every year since 1990, I usually chose to forget about AIDS, or for that matter, World AIDS Day… yet I am keenly aware all the time, but it is usually shoved to the deepest recesses of my mind.
